PROCESSING AND LEAD TIMES
We pride ourselves on the quality of our work, and it takes time to ensure custom perfection. Lead times can run long during the holidays. Supply of materials may cause longer lead times as well. Ready-made or nearly ready-made items usually ship within 1 to 3 business days. Custom items will usually ship within 1 to 2 weeks once started. Custom orders are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. At the time of estimation or bid, a general timeline will be provided; however, this is only an estimate of delivery, and Custom Cave Works will not be held to any timeline.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
DIRECT FROM CUSTOM CAVE WORKS
To help keep costs lower, we accept checks (electronic), cash, and Venmo. Customers may use a credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover) for an additional fee.
ETSY
Etsy accepts PayPal, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Klarna (easy financing), and Gift Cards.
AMAZON
Amazon accepts all major credit cards, debit cards, gift cards, vouchers, promotional codes, and personal checking.
SHOPIFY
Custom Cave Works online store hosted by Shopify accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Dinners Club, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Meta Pay, and PayPal.

MATERIAL
Wood is a natural material; therefore, it has inconsistent color tones and grain patterns and may result in darker or lighter colors. Finished items may look different from the photo examples shown as we have no control over the natural color of wood, small knots, wood grain patterns, or slight warping.
CUSTOM CAVE WORKS MATERIALS
Our wood shop sources high-quality, kiln-dried wood from excellent sources within Minnesota and North Dakota. There are sometimes lead times for these woods and often fluctuations in their pricing. Due to these factors and supply and demand, lead times and pricing are only estimated on custom-made items. Custom Cave Works has the right to adjust timelines and pricing at any time.
CUSTOMER PROVIDED MATERIALS
Customer can, with the agreement of Custom Cave Works, provide wood and other materials for certain projects. If the customer provides materials, Custom Cave Works cannot be held liable for any defects in the material, including cracks, splits, voids, insect infestation, food safety, moisture content, or warping. While our wood shop does its best to not make any mistakes, they do sometimes occur. Weather, power outages, and environmental variables can also cause defects or issues. If damage occurs, Custom Cave Works cannot be held liable for any monetary value or replacement of customer-provided materials.

CUSTOM ORDERS
FIXED BID VS. ESTIMATES
Custom Cave Works will often provide fixed bids or estimates to complete a custom order. Fixed bids are straightforward projects with a fixed price. The price is fixed and will not increase or decrease for that order. Custom Cave Works reserves the right to adjust pricing on future orders. The price usually includes all labor and materials to produce the item. Estimates can fluctuate in cost based on the amount of time and material that is used. Taxes and shipping are not included in either fixed bids or estimates unless otherwise stated.
DOWN PAYMENT
Unless otherwise stated in the estimate or bid, custom projects greater than $1,000.00 require a 50% non-refundable down payment of the amount estimated or bid. This payment is required prior to work starting. This includes design work, artwork, and proofs. Once proofs and renderings have been approved by the customer, the remaining balance is due. No items will be shipped or delivered until the entire balance is paid for in full.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Intellectual property (IP) refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions, literary and artistic works, designs, symbols, names, and images used in commerce. It also includes artwork, drawings, techniques and processes, tooling, photographs, pricing, and literature.
CUSTOM CAVE WORKS IP
Custom Cave Works owns and does not grant to any individual, organization, or company – unless expressly offered in writing – the right to use, copy, sell, or borrow any of our IP. Custom Cave Works may also license IP from other individuals, organizations, or companies for the sole use of products produced by Custom Cave Works. Under no circumstances does the purchase or use of any item from Custom Cave Works grant ownership or use of any IP.
CUSTOMER OWNED IP
Customers can grant Custom Cave Works the use of their own IP for use in a custom order or project. This may include artwork, drawings, writings, photographs, or designs. Custom Cave Works will protect the customer’s IP with best efforts and common security technologies; however, Custom Cave Works cannot be held liable for any damages related to the customer’s owned IP. If the customer provides third-party IP, the customer warrants they have the licensing and ability to use such IP. The customer indemnifies Custom Cave Works as related to any customer-provided IP.
If the customer provides handwritten drawings, handmade art, handmade paintings, handwritten writings, non-digital photographs or digital pictures of handwritten drawings, handmade art, handmade paintings, handwritten writings, or non-digital photographs, the customer owns such IP; however, if Custom Cave Works creates digital artwork, digital designs, or digital images based on customer’s handwritten drawings, handmade art, handmade paintings, handwritten writings, non-digital photographs or digital images of handwritten drawings, handmade art, handmade paintings, handwritten writings, or non-digital photographs, Custom Cave Works owns the IP to the digital artwork, digital designs or digital images.
